Job description

Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking an experienced SEMH teacher for a secondary school-based job to start from February half term. We are supporting a secondary school based in Birmingham (B12) with a full-time job vacancy for a secondary school teacher (SEMH).

If you are an experienced primary or secondary school teacher who has worked with pupils with SEMH and is available from February 2025, we would be keen to speak with you. We are a family-run recruitment business specializing in Education, with over 14 years of experience supporting education settings and candidates across primary, secondary, and SEND divisions.

This secondary school-based teaching job is initially offered on a full-time, interim basis; however, you may have the opportunity to apply permanently later in the academic year. Ideally, you will be an experienced secondary specialist who has planned and delivered the curriculum to KS3 pupils. You will be responsible for a group of up to 4 students as the school works on a primary model for lesson delivery. Experience of delivering the ASDAN curriculum would be beneficial, as would any experience delivering functional skills lessons.

We gain official salary information from each setting to ensure you are paid to scale from day one and in line with your responsibilities. We are fully committed to safeguarding all children within our schools. In order to be successfully shortlisted in any of your applications with us, we will require the following:

  1. A relevant UK-based qualification.
  2. Substantial experience working within an education setting.
  3. All required documents for safer recruitment processing including, but not limited to a valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS.
  4. Exceptional references.

Once shortlisted, a one-to-one interview will be scheduled with your dedicated consultant to discuss your experience and personal requirements.

Proposed start date: April 2025

Salary: Day rate from £200 to £250 per day
