Job Role Summary Science Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our high-achieving Science department. Based in Farnham, this role offers the opportunity to plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of biological, chemical and physical sciences.

Science Teacher - Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons that are engaging, well-structured, and aligned with the curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5)

Inspire and engage students through creative and challenging teaching approaches

Promote academic excellence by supporting all students to achieve their full potential

Encourage curiosity and critical thinking, fostering a love for biological, chemical and physical sciences

Contribute to a dynamic and successful Science Department within a high-performing Trust

Support the wider school community, including participation in extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities

Uphold the trust s values, aiming to exceed educational expectations and help build happy, fulfilled futures for our students

Continue professional development and opportunities for career progression within the Trust

Qualifications & Skills Required

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or successful completion of PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education), SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training) or Teach First or equivalent routes

Experience teaching Science at secondary level (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) (Key Stages 3 and 4); Key Stage 5 experience would be beneficial

Strong subject knowledge and passion for biological, chemical and physical sciences

Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

Understanding of effective assessment strategies and progress tracking

Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities

Excellent classroom management skills

A commitment to continuous professional development

Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities and the wider school community

Working Conditions

  • Term-time only (plus additional days for preparation).
  • Typical hours: 08.30-15.30
