Prospero Teaching is seeking a passionate and reliable Secondary School Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bolton, starting after the June half-term and continuing until the end of the academic year in July.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting ideal for graduates, experienced TAs, or individuals considering a future in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students aged 1116 across a variety of subjects
  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions where required
  • Assist class teachers with lesson preparation and behaviour management
  • Foster a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people (school or youth work setting preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, flexibility, and a proactive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Availability to work full-time from early June to July 2025
