Job description

Are you an experienced and flexible educator looking for an exciting opportunity to teach across a variety of subjects and year groups? We are seeking a Secondary Supply Teacher to join our team, providing high-quality teaching and classroom management in the absence of regular teachers. This role begins in May 2025.

Secondary Teacher duties:

1. Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects and year groups, ensuring continuity in student learning
2. Maintain a positive, engaging, and well-managed classroom environment
3. Adapt quickly to different school settings and teaching approaches
4. Ensure students remain focused and engaged with their learning materials
5. Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and procedures
6. Report on student progress, work completed, and any incidents during the day

Ideal Secondary Teacher:

1. A degree in Education or a related subject
2. A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
3. Experience teaching at secondary school level is preferred
4. Strong classroom management and communication skills
5. Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups
6. A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
