Job summary

St Monica's RC Secondary School is seeking an IT Technician to join the IT team. You will provide expert technical support to staff, diagnose and resolve IT issues, and contribute to IT projects.

The role requires strong communication and a dedication to delivering high-quality service within a faith-based academy trust. The position is permanent, full-time (37 hours per week) at St Monica's with occasional travel to other schools within STOCCAT and relevant offices.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified).
• Prior IT support experience in an educational or similar environment.
• Knowledge of school IT systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Document all support activities, troubleshooting steps and resolutions; keep tickets updated.
• Collaborate with other support engineers to ensure timely ticket resolution.
• Provide technical support for escalated issues and coordinate with 3rd party vendors.
• Contribute to knowledge base articles and training materials.
• Assist with internal IT projects and service improvements.
• Work closely with the Service Desk Lead to deliver quality IT operations.
