Academics Agency is seeking a reliable Secondary School Cleaner to maintain high standards of hygiene across Sheffield schools, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

This temporary, term-time role offers flexible hours Monday to Friday with pay £14.24–£16.00 per hour (holiday pay included). Higher rate may apply depending on experience, training and client rate.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience (school or commercial setting desirable).
• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe chemical use.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
• Two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Sanitise high-touch areas such as door handles, desks, and communal surfaces.
• Ensure classrooms, corridors, toilets, and dining areas are kept spotless and hygienic.
• Replenish supplies and manage waste disposal in line with school policies.
