GSL Education are currently recruiting for a Secondary RE Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Fareham, Hampshire. The successful candidate will bring creativity, respect, and academic rigour to the Religious Education curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities of a Secondary RE Teacher:

• Teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that explore world religions, ethics, and philosophical thinking.
• Create a respectful and inclusive classroom environment where diverse beliefs are valued.
• Encourage students to think critically, reflect on moral issues, and develop their own views.
• Assess and track student progress, providing meaningful feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum development and participate in whole-school activities.

The Ideal Secondary RE Teacher Will Have:

• QTS, ECT status, or a recognised overseas teaching qualification.
• A specialism in Religious Education or a closely related humanities subject.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching RE.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to promoting student well-being, inclusion, and achievement.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
