Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Physics Teachers for day-to-day supply and long-term contracts across Bristol, Swindon, Somerset and Wiltshire from September 2026. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess progress and contribute to the wider life of the school.

We offer flexible roles from daily bookings to longer placements, with CPD through My-Progression and a 24/7 consultant team to support your career goals.

Qualifications

  • QTS with Physics; ECTs welcome to apply.
  • Experience teaching Physics up to KS4.

  • Strong communication, planning and assessment skills.

TeacherActive is currently recruiting experienced and qualified Physics Teachers for day-to-day supply teaching and long-term contract opportunities across Bristol, Swindon, Somerset and Wiltshire from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to bring Physics to life by making complex physical principles accessible through modelling, problem-solving and practical work. You will plan and deliver inclusive lessons, assess progress effectively and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

Opportunities will be available from September 2026 and may range from individual day-to-day bookings to long-term contracts providing greater continuity within one school.


The successful qualified Physics Teacher will have:



  • QTS with Physics specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)

  • Experience teaching Physics up to Key Stage 4 / KS4

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

  • Strong communication, planning and assessment skills

  • A clear commitment to safe and purposeful practical work

  • A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7
