Job Title: Secondary Nurture and DT Teacher

Location: Heath Farm School, Ashford TN27 0AX

Salary: £31,650.00 to £45,000.00 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Secondary Nurture and DT Teacher to join our team at Heath Farm School.

About the Role

You will be delivering inclusive, responsive, and innovative teaching and learning to one of our Secondary Nurture Classes. You will also oversee and teach the Design Technology curriculum, including Food Technology to other secondary classes.

You will be responsible for delivering DT to KS3 and BTEC L1 construction at KS4. Under the guidance of the Head Teacher and SLT, you will carry out the professional duties of a schoolteacher as set out in current school policies.

Essential:

  • Providing or contributing to assessments, reports, and references related to individual pupils and groups of pupils.
  • Giving pupils regular feedback, both orally and through accurate marking, encouraging pupils to respond, reflect on progress, and take responsible and conscientious attitudes toward their work and study.
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
