Vetro Education is seeking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Music Teacher to work in a secondary school in Caerphilly. The school supports learners in Key Stage 3 and 4, and Vetro has been tasked with finding a teacher who can start immediately and become part of the team from day one.


The role is five days per week, teaching Years 7, 8, and 9, as well as GCSE classes. The position is available for an immediate start, with the successful teacher likely to remain until the end of the summer term 2025.

Overview:
  • Title: Secondary Music Teacher
  • Pay: £168.00 per day minimum
  • Location: Caerphilly
  • Working hours: 8:30 am - 3:10 pm

The role: What you'll be doing as a Music Teacher:
  • Lead a classroom of learners in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Prepare classrooms for lessons and plan schemes of work as required
  • Deliver lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Engage learners through classroom and lab-based activities
  • Work in accordance with the school's behavior management policies
The candidate: What you'll need to be successful:
  • At least 1 year of Music teaching experience (exceptions for NQTs)
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
  • Registration as a Teacher with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) – assistance available
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
