Music Teacher

Reed Education is seeking a dynamic Music Teacher to join a secondary school in the Carnfortharea from the October half term on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective music lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; teaching KS5 is advantageous but not essential.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to inspire and motivate students.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management to ensure all students have the opportunity to reach their potential.
  • Regularly assess and review student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the music curriculum and student learning experiences.
  • Participate in school events and activities related to the music department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching Music at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience at KS5 is beneficial.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and capable of acting as a good role model for students.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
