Secondary Maths Teacher | Subject Specialist | Local Secondary Schools

Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only)

Salary: £140 - £233 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience)

Start Date: Immediate / Next Term

Are you a passionate mathematician with the ability to turn "I can't do this" into "I've got it"? Join our secondary network as a Maths Teacher and inspire the next generation of problem solvers across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

High-Demand Expertise, Total Career Control

We are seeking Qualified Maths Teachers (QTS/ECTs) to provide specialist cover across a variety of secondary schools. As a core subject specialist, your skills are in high demand-giving you the unique opportunity to choose the environments that suit your teaching style while skipping the departmental meetings and data-heavy weekends.

  • Academic Impact: Lead lessons across the full ability range, from foundational numeracy at KS3 to higher-tier GCSE preparation.
  • The "Core" Advantage: Benefit from consistent, high-volume work in a range of school settings, from academic grammar schools to creative academies.
  • Work-Life Balance: Reclaim your passion for the subject. Deliver high-impact teaching during the day and leave the marking, planning, and parent evenings behind.
  • Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates of £140 - £233, paid every Friday via Randstad.
Your Role as a Mathematics Lead

As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you are responsible for maintaining academic rigour and building student confidence in a vital core subject.

  • Expert Curriculum Delivery: Confidently deliver lessons on everything from algebra and geometry to statistics and probability, ensuring students remain engaged and challenged.
  • Exam Technique Focus: Support Year 11 students with targeted revision and exam strategies to help them achieve their target grades in their GCSEs.
  • Classroom Authority: Maintain a focused, productive learning environment through a professional presence and a clear passion for the subject.
  • Adaptive Support: Quickly identify and address misconceptions, providing differentiated support for students with SEND or those aiming for Grade 9.
Essential Requirements

We are looking for dedicated Maths specialists who can hit the ground running. You are an ideal fit if you:

  • Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (ECTs are highly encouraged to apply).
  • Are a Maths Specialist: You have a degree in Mathematics or a related field, with a deep understanding of the current GCSE curriculum (A-Level experience is a plus).
  • Are Engaging & Resilient: You can make Maths relevant and interesting to a diverse range of students, maintaining firm but fair boundaries.
  • Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding.
