Open Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm

About the School

An Ofsted ‘Good’, SEN and disabilities (SEND) school based in Havering. Pupils range from Reception to Sixth Form. The school focuses on specific additional needs and provides tailored support either in the classroom, individually, or in groups outside the classroom.

About the Role

The SEN School is seeking a qualified Science Teacher who can also teach Maths part of the week. The role involves primarily teaching Science, with approximately a 70% Science to 30% Maths split, at KS2 and KS3 levels for secondary-aged students. The role offers a good work-life balance with a 4-day workweek.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong background in Science or Maths, with the ability to teach both subjects
• Experience teaching SEN, preferably ASD
• Ability to plan and deliver tailored lessons for students of varying abilities
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Up-to-date safeguarding certificate and Enhanced DBS
