About the Role

As a Secondary Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teaching staff to support students with autism across a range of subjects and activities. Your role will be pivotal in helping students access the curriculum, develop social and emotional skills, and build confidence in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with ASD in classroom and small group settings
  • Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
  • Support students during transitions and unstructured times
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support
