A dynamic and inclusive school in South East London is seeking a qualified and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and capable individual to take on a key role supporting teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4.
As a HLTA, you will be working closely with teachers to plan and deliver lessons, cover classes when required, and provide targeted support to students, including those with SEN and EAL needs.
Plan and deliver small group interventions or whole-class sessions
Provide in-class support across a range of subjects
Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher
Support students with additional needs to access learning
Assist with assessment, progress tracking, and resource preparation
HLTA status or equivalent experience is essential
Experience working in a school setting, ideally at secondary level
Confident in managing classroom behaviour and leading lessons
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible, professional, and passionate about education
Supportive SLT and welcoming staff community
