About the Role:

  • Teach English Language and Literature across KS3-KS5

  • Deliver dynamic, well-planned lessons that engage and challenge students

  • Track student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and assessments

  • Participate in extra-curricular and enrichment activities that promote literacy



What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A degree in English or a related subject

  • Proven experience teaching English at secondary level

  • Excellent subject knowledge and passion for English education

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Commitment to inclusive teaching and student wellbeing



You Will Need:

  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum for English

  • Experience delivering and assessing student work

  • A flexible, professional, and positive attitude

  • Completion of a Safeguarding course (or willingness to complete one prior to start)
