ARLO Education is recruiting a Teacher of English for a maternity contract with a secondary school in Woking, Surrey. The role covers KS3/KS4 with start in January 2027 or sooner and a salary range of £35,602 to £54,382 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS/relevant teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in English.

Responsibilities

• Teach English across Key stages 3 & 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support pupil progress and achievement.
• Assess learning, provide constructive feedback and adapt teaching to meet pupils’ needs.
• Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers where appropriate.
• Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school.
