Job summary

Thomas Hall School, Exeter, is seeking an experienced English Teacher to join from January 2027 on a 0.6 FTE basis. The role requires delivering a broad, balanced English curriculum, planning lessons and supporting students to achieve their best within a supportive department.

The post is Permanent, full time equivalent at 0.6, with 19.5 hours per week, and offers professional development, TPS pension and opportunities for career progression within Reach South Academy Trust.

• To plan and provide lessons based on our broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying English, in accordance with the aims of the School and the curricular policies determined by the head of department and SLT.

• To progress and development your students and act as a champion for your subject.
• To effectively deploy your time and physical resources within the department to support the curriculum intent, ensuring there is value in what is delivered.
