Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is working with a large secondary school in Plymouth to appoint an English Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis starting ASAP until the end of the academic year. You will plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4, while maintaining high expectations of behaviour and supporting students to reach their full academic potential.

You must have QTS with English and strong classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• Strong classroom management and ability to engage KS3/KS4 students.
• Experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Qualified Teacher Status with English specialism.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated English Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP until the end of the academic year. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement, and supporting students to reach their full academic potential.

The successful English Teacher will have:

Qualified Teacher Status / QTS with an English specialism

Experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4

Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum, including GCSE English Language and Literature

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to maintain high standards of behaviour

The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners

A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
