Job Title: Secondary English Teacher
Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start: After Easter 2025/September 2025
Contract: Full time, Permanent

GSL Education are delighted to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Fareham, Hampshire, that is currently seeking a full-time English Teacher to join their committed teaching team. This is a permanent position, offering a chance to start either after Easter or from September 2025, depending on your availability.

• Experienced Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors who want to move into teaching

What You'll Do as an English Teacher:

• Teach English to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Create lessons that are fun, clear, and challenging.
• Help students build skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
• Support students of all abilities so everyone can succeed.
• Keep the classroom focused, respectful, and supportive.
• Work as part of a friendly and hardworking English department.

What the School is Looking For:

• A good understanding of how to teach English to teenagers.
• Confidence in leading a classroom and managing behaviour.
• A passion for helping young people learn and grow.
• The ability to plan lessons that reach students at different levels.
• A clear and updated CV covering the last 10 years.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
