Job description

Smart Teachers is looking to recruit enthusiastic Secondary Early Careers Teacher (ECTs) in the South London area to join our supply teaching network ahead of September 2025.

About the role

You will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience while supporting a variety of schools. Whether you're looking for short-term placements or longer-term supply and permanent contracts, we offer flexibility to suit your career goals and personal circumstances.

You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons, ensuring student engagement, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. This role is ideal for ECTs seeking to build their teaching experience and expand their professional network.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-quality lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum.
  • Maintaining classroom management and student engagement.
  • Supporting students' individual needs and providing assistance as required.
  • Reporting student progress and providing feedback to the school.
  • Adhering to school policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Secondary Early Careers Teacher you will:
