Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT)
Location: Sunderland
Salary: £150 - £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long-Term

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that align with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
  • Assess, track, and support student progress, adapting teaching to meet diverse needs.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Take part in ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities.

What We re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards completion of teacher training.
  • Subject specialism in any core or foundation subject at secondary level.
  • A genuine passion for education and inspiring young people.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to professional growth and collaboration with colleagues.
  • A valid, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
