Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Telford


Location: Telford
Salary: Paid to scale, dependent on experience
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher to join a supportive and well-regarded secondary school in Telford from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your teaching career in a nurturing environment with structured guidance and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that are inclusive and engaging for all learners

  • Build a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere where students are encouraged to achieve their best

  • Work collaboratively with your mentor and wider teaching staff to continuously reflect on and improve your practice

  • Support the academic and personal growth of students through both classroom teaching and wider school activities

  • Participate fully in the school’s CPD programme and Early Career Teacher induction process

What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent secondary teaching qualification

  • Recent experience working with secondary-aged pupils, ideally gained during your training placements or first ECT year

  • A strong command of your subject area and a passion for teaching

  • Ability to motivate and engage students through creative and responsive teaching approaches

  • Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations

  • A reflective, committed attitude with a desire to grow professionally

  • An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (including explanations for any gaps), and an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
