Secondary Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Telford
Location: Telford
Salary: Paid to scale, dependent on experience
Start Date: September 2025

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher to join a supportive and well-regarded secondary school in Telford from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your teaching career in a nurturing environment with structured guidance and professional development.
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that are inclusive and engaging for all learners
Build a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere where students are encouraged to achieve their best
Work collaboratively with your mentor and wider teaching staff to continuously reflect on and improve your practice
Support the academic and personal growth of students through both classroom teaching and wider school activities
Participate fully in the school’s CPD programme and Early Career Teacher induction process
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent secondary teaching qualification
Recent experience working with secondary-aged pupils, ideally gained during your training placements or first ECT year
A strong command of your subject area and a passion for teaching
Ability to motivate and engage students through creative and responsive teaching approaches
Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
A reflective, committed attitude with a desire to grow professionally
An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (including explanations for any gaps), and an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
