Job summary

Academics is seeking confident, energetic individuals to join its Wirral-based pool as Secondary Cover Supervisors. You will supervise classes, deliver set work, and draw on transferable skills from sports coaching or youth work to engage pupils aged 11-16.

This role offers flexible daily bookings or longer placements across supportive secondary schools in The Wirral, with emphasis on strong presence, authority, and clear communication to maintain a productive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with teenagers in sports coaching, outdoor leadership, youth clubs, mentoring or outreach.
• Strong presence, natural authority, excellent communication, resilience, and group-management skills.
• Willingness to work across different secondary schools in The Wirral and adapt to changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils aged 11-16 and manage behavior to maintain a productive atmosphere.
• Deliver set work left by absent teachers and ensure it is completed effectively.
• Leverage sports coaching or youth work experience to build rapport and motivate learners.
