Protocol Education Limited is recruiting for unqualified teachers and cover supervisors to support secondary schools across Wiltshire and surrounding areas. The role offers free training to become a successful cover supervisor and opportunities to gain classroom experience with flexible full or part-time hours.

Candidates with a degree or strong background in core subjects or work with children will help lead and cover lessons, handling pupil behaviour while following school guidelines.

Unqualified Teacher/Cover Supervisor with FREE TRAINING PROVIDED

Protocol Education are working with Secondary Schools in the above areas to appoint enthusiastic and enterprising, unqualified Teachers and Cover Supervisors to join their staffing and cover teams. Such positions provide a great start to your career within the education sector or add to your ever-growing experience.

The school are looking for someone with a degree or strong background in core subjects or working with children and young people in any capacity to be able to lead and cover a variety of lessons throughout the school timetable.

This role is ideal for someone seeing to gain valuable classroom experience prior to embarking on a teaching career, or a great opportunity for any graduates seeking a bold new career change.

To help support you in this unqualified role, we provide FREE TRAINING ON HOW TO BE A SUCCESSFUL AND EFFECTIVE COVER SUPERVISOR. This training has been created by Protocol Consultants and School Cover Managers to give you the best introduction and core knowledge on how to excel in the role, make the best impact possible for students, handle behaviour positively and stand out in the role.

Alongisde this Cover Supervisor Training, we also offer FREE TRAINING ON THE THRIVE APPROACH. Whether you're looking to gain a deeper understanding of behaviour or build stronger relationships with pupils - including those with SEMH and SEND, this course is your shortcut to classroom calm.

The Role;

• As a unqualified teacher/cover supervisor, you are responsible for supervising work pre-set in accordance with the schools’ guidelines, and ensuring such work is carried out to the best of their abilities
• To manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they undertake their work and ensuring a constructive and positive environment is always enforced.
• De-escalating situations within the classroom in the correct way certifying safeguarding procedures are always adhered.
• Collecting of work at the end of the lesson and returning it to the appropriate recipient.
• Reporting any safeguarding concerns using the school’s referral procedures and safeguarding policies.

Contract Type: Full and Part Time available

Pay: £100 - £150 (depended on experience)

Hours: 830am - 330pm part time (part time positions also available)

Notes: If you are a lecturer or have previous coaching or education experience, or somebody with a specialism in a certain subject this role would be ideal. This role is also ideal for candidates that have taught outside of the UK but are looking to build their experience within the UK but may not have UK teaching qualifications (QTS). (All applicants would need to be living in the UK with a current and valid right to work in order to be considered for this role). This role is also an incredible opportunity for anyone who is considering applying for their teacher training in the future or making that decision on whether to teach, what subject etc as this will give you a full insight into the classroom, subjects, curriculum, school leadership teams, planning and marking, behaviour and classroom management.
