Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR

A thriving and inclusive secondary school in Poole is seeking a driven and creative teacher to join the Design and Technology department as Second in Department. This exciting role includes an additional pastoral responsibility as Head of Year, giving you a rounded and impactful leadership role.

Your Key Duties Will Include:

  • Supporting the Head of DT with curriculum leadership and quality assurance

  • Leading schemes of work and assessment within a DT specialism

  • Championing innovation and inclusivity in teaching and learning

  • Leading a year group with responsibility for behaviour, progress and wellbeing

  • Supporting or leading whole-school events such as careers fairs or enrichment weeks

The Ideal Candidate Will Be:

  • An experienced DT teacher with confidence across at least one specialism

  • Enthusiastic about developing student skills, creativity, and resilience

  • Interested in developing others and supporting pastoral care

  • A reflective practitioner with strong classroom management

  • Enhanced DBS required
