Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience as sous chef or similar in a professional kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in menu development, recipe creation and daily specials planning.
• Supervise kitchen operations, delegate tasks, maintain quality and presentation.
• Train and manage kitchen staff, ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Participate in food preparation, cooking and plating of complex dishes.
• Assist with inventory management, stock control and cost minimisation.
• Contribute to menu engineering and seasonal menu planning.
• Ensure consistency and high standards in portion sizes and plating.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adherence to hygiene practices.
• Handle high-pressure periods with effective problem solving.
