SECOND IN CHARGE (2IC) OF ENGLISH

  • Salary: Inner London Pay Scale, MPS/UPS (£38,766 to £60,092) + TLR 2C (£7,512)
  • Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Location: Hollydale Rd, London, SE15 2EB, London Borough of Southwark

We are seeking a motivated and inspirational English Teacher to join our team of outstanding staff at St Thomas the Apostle School, a high-achieving Catholic boys’ school with a co-educational Sixth Form in South London. English is a popular subject with a history of excellent results.

As Second in Charge (2ic) of English, you will lead a Key Stage provision. This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and aspiring leaders. In 2024, the department's outcomes included:

  • A Level (27 entries); English A*-A: 30%, A*-B: 67%
