Job summary

Buzzworks Holdings in Scotland is seeking a 2nd Head Chef to join its kitchen leadership team. You’ll support the Head Chef, lead a busy team, and ensure dishes are delivered to spec with consistency and pride.

This hands-on role rewards energy, leadership, and a passion for creativity in high-volume service, with opportunities for training, development, and progression within a supportive hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Energetic, hands-on leader with a passion for consistency and creativity.
• Experience delivering high standards in a busy, high-volume kitchen.
• Ability to mentor chefs and develop talent while maintaining GP and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team to deliver high standards during service.
• Support rota efficiency and manage kitchen GP.
• Help maintain stock levels and control.
• Mentor, develop, and motivate chefs at every level.
• Run daily briefings in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Ensure full compliance with health and food safety standards.
• Create an open, honest kitchen culture with strong kitchen/FOH communication.
