Job summary

Buzzworks is seeking a 2nd Head Chef to join the kitchen leadership team, supporting the Head Chef and stepping up when needed. You’ll help deliver dishes to spec, lead a team and contribute to kitchen profitability with consistency and pride.

You’ll spearhead service delivery, rota efficiency, stock control and GP management, while mentoring chefs at all levels. Daily briefings in the Head Chef’s absence and a strong open culture are essential.

• Building strong comms between kitchen and FOH teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team to deliver service to spec.
• Support rota planning and GP management.
• Maintain stock levels and ordering processes.
• Mentor and develop chefs at all levels.
• Run daily briefings when Head Chef is away.
• Ensure compliance with health and food safety standards.
• Foster an open, collaborative kitchen culture.
• Strengthen communication between kitchen and front of house.
