Job summary

This is a role for a qualified Chef to work in a care home setting, providing high-quality, nutritious meals for residents. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with fresh, seasonal produce and contribute to menu development, while enjoying a better work-life balance compared to a typical restaurant or hotel environment.

Main duties of the job

As a Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus, while working closely with residents to tailor the offerings to their preferences. You will have the chance to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks common in those industries.
