Overview

We are looking for energetic and hard-working Seasonal Sales Assistants to join The Entertainer team working in Tesco Sunderland Extra. The Entertainers exciting partnership with Tesco allows you to shop for Top Trump cards, your Turkey, and a fantastic range of toys in a Tesco Superstore or Extra this Christmas.

Based in this Tesco supermarket as a Tesco Seasonal Sales Assistant, you will work with a small team to look after the toy aisles in our unique Entertainer branded space. You will be responsible for delivering a great shopping experience for our customers, keeping the shelves full and priced, and confidently answering any toy-related questions with your newly found toy knowledge. With support from your remote Entertainer Manager, you will have the expertise to work on your own to carry out your main duties including merchandising stock, replenishing the department, pricing and implementing promotions, while keeping the toy offering up to date and well stocked. Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and the ability to work on your own initiative with pride in your work are key attributes for this role.

Key Information About This Role

• Working Hours – Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends, between 7am and 8pm.
• Contracted weekly hours available – 12 hours per week.
• Shift patterns and days will vary but will be notified in advance.
• There may be an opportunity to work extra hours in this role depending on trade.

Rates Of Pay

16-20 year olds - £11.00 per hour
21-year-old plus - £12.21 per hour

Contract end date: 3rd January 2026.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Merchandising, handling deliveries, replenishing stock and price management
• Start of shift bay checks for pricing, stock gaps and recovering general standards
• Replenishment of section, maintaining cleanliness and good organisation
• Maintain good communication with colleagues and the Line Manager
• Acknowledge customers in the aisles, engage in conversation and encourage a sale using toy knowledge
