Job summary

The Entertainer in Middlesbrough is seeking a Seasonal Sales Assistant to help customers find the perfect toy, restock shelves and keep the store welcoming during the busy festive period.

Pay rates are £11.15 per hour for 16-20 year olds and £12.71 per hour for 21-year-olds and over, with a contract end date of 31 December 2026. Weekend availability is required as the store operates seven days a week.

Qualifications

• Seasonal role during peak period.
• Must be reliable and flexible in available hours.
• Able to engage with customers on the shop floor and at the till.
• Physically able to move stock and pallets.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers on the shop floor and at the till.
• Restock shelves and help with deliveries.

Key Information about this role:

Rates of Pay:

16-20 year olds - £11.15 per hour.

21-year-oldplus - £12.71 per hour

Contract end date:31stDecember 2026.

Our stores will be open 7 days a week so you will need to be able to support us at the weekends including Sundays.

The hours we have available for this store are:

• An 8-hour per week contract: you will typically be offered 4-hour shifts over 2 days, or perhaps one full day at times.

So, if you are flexible to work various shifts, including evenings and different days of the week, have a great attitude, and friendly personality, we can make the hours you are available – work for you and us,

With all our Seasonal Sales Assistant contracts you will also be asked to work Christmas Eve, Boxing Day or New Years Eve– they’re some of our busiest days of the year.

To be a Seasonal Sales Assistant at The Entertainer you must be:

• Reliable and flexible in what hours you can work, there may be the chance of extra hours too if we're busy!
• Approachable and confident to deliver excellent customer service, talking to customers on the shop floor and at the till points.
• Physically fit and able to move stock around the store, working with deliveries and pallets on your own and as a team
• Attentive to detail, keeping the shelves full and handling deliveries.
