Job summary

Otley Garden Centre is seeking a Seasonal Retail Assistant to join our team in Otley for a fixed-term contract through December 2026. The role focuses on customer service, helping customers find products, and creating attractive displays to drive sales.

You will maintain well-stocked displays, assist with Christmas merchandising, process deliveries, and operate tills. A friendly, flexible attitude and prior retail experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong customer service skills and confidence speaking with customers.
• Experience replenishing stock and maintaining high retail standards.
• Merchandising or visual merchandising experience would be highly advantageous.
• A flexible, positive attitude and willingness to support across different departments.

We're looking for a Seasonal Retail Assistant to join our team at Otley Garden Centre on a

fixed-term contract until December 2026.

This is not just a stock-filling role. We're looking for someone with previous retail experience who understands how to engage customers, maintain high standards and create attractive, inspiring displays that encourage sales.

As part of our retail team, you'll help customers find the perfect products, keep our shop floor looking its best, replenish stock and support with merchandising across the centre as we prepare for the Christmas season.

Hours of Work:

This role averages 19.25 hours per week and includes alternate weekend working. Specific shift patterns are:

Week 1: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 10-4

What we're looking for:
