Job summary

The All England Lawn Tennis Club (Championships) Limited is recruiting a Seasonal Groundsperson to support grass court maintenance and the presentation of playing surfaces across all venues. The role runs 40 hours per week during a 7-month fixed term, starting March/April 2027, to support The Championships and other events with high standards.

Responsibilities include grass and multi-surface maintenance, equipment handling, and adherence to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Sports Turf Management.
• Practical experience in preparation, maintenance and presentation of fine turfgrass surfaces.
• Knowledge of turfgrass maintenance, cultural practices and plant health.
• Current full UK Driving Licence and ability to operate tractors and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with grass court care and preparation across all venues.
• Apply nutrition, soil conditioners and other products under supervision.
• Support renovation programmes and presentation of courts to competition standards.
• Monitor weeds, pests, diseases and report issues.
• Operate tractors, buggies and other equipment safely.
• Maintain health and safety in the workplace and adhere to site rules.
