Job Description:

We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Seasonal Greenkeeper to join our team. As a Greenkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining the course’s greens, fairways, bunkers, and other areas, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and aesthetics. The role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for horticulture and turf care. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a beautiful environment and contribute to the aesthetic appeal of one of Scotland’s premier hotels.

This is a fixed term position until October 2025.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and care for golf course greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers, ensuring high standards of presentation and quality.
2. Mow and trim grass, using a variety of lawnmowers and other machinery.
3. Carry out turf maintenance tasks such as bunker presentation and golf course setup.
4. Operate and maintain a range of grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
5. Assist with irrigation systems, ensuring water distribution is effective for the course's needs.
6. Carry out general maintenance of trees, shrubs, and plants around the course and other areas.
7. Report any issues with machinery, equipment, or infrastructure to the Head Greenkeeper.
8. Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience working on a golf course is preferred but not essential.
2. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
3. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor.
4. Excellent attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high standards.
5. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
