Job description

Position Scope

To carry out gardens and estate maintenance duties, as directed, ensuring that the resort is at all times presented in the best possible condition.

Essential Functions

  1. Maintain the gardens and grounds, ensuring hotel, spa, lodges, and clubhouse areas are maintained to the desired standards daily. Shrub beds and borders to be maintained as directed.
  2. Perform general maintenance duties such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting, and weeding as directed.
  3. Maintain high standards of customer care at all times.
  4. Understand and adhere to the Trump Turnberry policy on Health and Safety, ensuring all duties are performed with full regard to the safety of customers, visitors, contractors, and employees; work within the Health & Safety, COSHH, Risk Assessment, and HAVS guidelines at all times.
  5. Operate grass cutting machinery safely and effectively; ensure care and maintenance of machinery and report any loss or damage to the Workshop Manager according to policy.
  6. Accept training and instruction to further skill set.
  7. Perform any other duties required on the golf courses or around the estate.

Candidate Requirements

  1. Self-motivation and a positive approach to work.
  2. Good communication skills, team-oriented, with a keen eye for detail, and the ability to understand and carry out instructions.
  3. Reliability.
  4. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch, using manual dexterity to operate equipment.
  5. Ability to walk, stand, and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours; task durations may vary.
  6. Experience working outdoors in all seasons is desirable.
  7. Literate and numerate.
  8. Driving license (desirable).
