Seasonal Chef, Line Cook, Cold Side Chef

Contract Term - Seasonal. Part or Full Time

Location - Shanklin, Isle of Wight

Salary - Exceptional rates of pay, paid weekly

Hours - No split shifts, hours up until end of October. These roles require working some early starts, evenings and weekends.

About the company:

The Steamer Inn is situated right on Shanklin Esplanade, just a stone's throw away from the beach. Our popular food ranges from simple classic dishes including macaroni cheese and lasagne to our popular Chef’s Specials, with a focus on seafood specials, fresh crab and lobster.

Job Roles:

We are looking for friendly, hardworking and organised individuals to join our already established and talented kitchen team. Benefits include discounts on food and drink across all three of our family pubs including the Steamer, the Bargeman’s and the Dairyman's Daughter.

You will be responsible for preparing food before service, and ensuring dishes are cooked and presented to the highest standard, whilst working alongside the rest of the kitchen team to maintain a clean working environment. The Steamer Inn is understandably one of the busiest kitchens on the island during the summer months, so experience is preferred but not essential. All training is provided during working hours, uniform and staff meals on shift provided.

Requirements:

Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills.

Good punctuality and timekeeping.
