Are you passionate about food and love working in a fast-paced kitchen with a view of the ocean? YHA Treyarnon Bay is looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly team immediately, with the potential to stay on over the winter season.
YHA Treyarnon Bay, North Cornwall - right by the beach!
Seasonal - Now until end of September 2025 (Possibility of extension over winter)
Flexible contract - 25-42.5 hours per week
As a Catering Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Kitchen Manager to help deliver high-quality meals to our guests - from backpackers to families - during busy peak times.
Your duties will include:
Assisting with food preparation and service
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Supporting kitchen operations during high-volume periods
Helping ensure a smooth and efficient service at all times
A team player with a positive, hands-on attitude
Someone comfortable working under pressure in a busy kitchen
A commitment to maintaining excellent food hygiene
Experience in catering or kitchens is a bonus, but not essential - we’ll train you!
Competitive hourly rate of £12.21
Optional live-in accommodation is available at a rate of £69.83 per week
