An established industry player is seeking Seasonal Assistant Ecologists to join their team for a busy summer season. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in bat surveys across Yorkshire, with evening availability being essential. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, flexible, and possess good organizational and communication skills. While species ID knowledge is a plus, on-the-job training will be provided. Futures Ecology is a small friendly consultancy started in 2019 with offices in both Leeds and Bolsover.
We are currently looking for Seasonal Assistant Ecologists to work our busy summer season, on a casual zero hour contract.
You will be predominantly helping out on bat surveys (at dusk) on a variety of sites across Yorkshire and beyond. Therefore evening availability is essential.
There may also be scope to assist on other ecological surveys if interest is shown.
We are looking for -
Enthusiastic individuals, who have a willingness to learn.
Flexibility in availability (with a focus on evening work).
Your own transport (with business insurance) or you can car share.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Species ID knowledge is welcomed, but not essential as on-the-job training will be given.
What you get in return -
£70 per dusk survey (up to 5 hours), £12.21 per hour for extra / daytime hours.
