Job summary

Carlton Lodge Activity Centre in North Yorkshire is seeking a motivated Seasonal Activity Instructor for 2027. The role runs 37.5 hours per week across evenings and weekends from 8 February to 29 October 2027, with full training provided.

You’ll need a valid First Aid certificate, an NGB award in Paddle Sports, Climbing or Caving, and a UK driving licence, plus centre/coaching experience. Onsite accommodation is available (at a small cost). Starting salary is £24,784.50 pro rata.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated instructor to join our well-known and highly respected activity centre.

Carlton Lodge Activity Centre is part of North Yorkshire Youth . We offer a wide range of courses to a diverse client base, but predominantly primary schools and youth groups throughout the busy months.

Duration/Hours

The hours are 37.5 per week and include evenings and weekends. This is a seasonal position starting on Monday 8th February 2027 up until Friday, 29th October 2027.

Requirements

• A valid First Aid Certificate.
• Training in at least one National Governing Body Award in one of the following disciplines: (Or experience equivalent to)

Paddle Sports

Climbing

Caving

• An NGB instructional award in one of the above disciplines
• A full UK driving licence
• Experience working in a centre or relevant coaching experience.
