Job summary

Outdoor Learning is seeking outstanding, enthusiastic, energetic and inspiring Outdoor Activity Instructors to join the team at Mill on the Brue for the season. Start date 1 February 2027. Seasonal full-time role with pro rata pay in line with National Minimum Wage.

In addition to base pay, candidates can earn incentives for listed qualifications (BCU, RCI, Lowland Leader, Bushcraft L1/L2, Archery GB/GNAS, NRSA) and a retention payment after probation.

Job description

Outdoor Activity Instructors – Seasonal at Mill on the Brue

Start Date: 1st February 2027

We are looking for outstanding, enthusiastic, energetic and inspiring Instructors to join our team.

We want you to have a great experience with us and develop in your role with regular training opportunities and support in gaining NGB awards.

Seasonal Full time starts for 18 – 20 years olds at £19,760 per annum pro rata in line with National Minimum Wage.

For 21 years and upwards it is £24,127 per annum pro-rata in line with National Minimum Wage.

Incentive scheme that will pay you £57 for each of the following qualifications:

• BCU Paddlesport Instructor or UKCC/BCU Level 1
• Ropes: RCI (SPA), CW
• Hillwalking: Lowland Leader, WGL, ML
• Bushcraft -L1 L2
• Archery GB /GNAS
• NRSA

For example, if you hold two of these qualifications, you would be paid £114 each month till the end of the season.

Retention Scheme

Payable at the end of your contract £82 per month, this will start once your probation period has been completed.
