Join award-winning National Star College at our new Worcester-based project as a care and education support worker supporting students with varied and complex disabilities to learn, develop, and flourish.

Description

Are you looking for a rewarding, term-time only role supporting young people with disabilities to make the most of their time at college? Join National Star College's new Worcester project as a care and education support worker, helping students with complex disabilities to learn, develop, and flourish while maintaining their health and wellbeing. Our students, aged 16-25, have big personalities and ambitions to live independently. Our dedicated staff team prioritizes students' needs, being proactive, dynamic, and collaborative. As a support worker, you will provide personal care and learning support during therapeutic, social, and educational activities.

Enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strong work ethic are essential, along with a positive attitude towards young people's aspirations. You should be a self-starter, able to use your initiative, manage change, and demonstrate resilience. Experience working with individuals with learning and/or physical disabilities and a Level 2 qualification in care or learning support is desirable. We offer excellent training and development opportunities to support your career growth.

Preferred candidates will be available to work five days a week, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (with one evening meeting at 5 pm), for 39 weeks during term time. The pay rate is £12.60 per hour, increasing to £12.41 after successful completion of a 6-month probation period.
