Job description

Due to increased demand, our Freight Forwarding client based in Essex are looking to appoint an experienced Seafreight Export / Import Operator to work on a 50/50 basis on both Imports and Exports.

As Seafreight Export / Import Operator, a typical day will involve assisting with supplier and customer queries, providing excellent customer service and maintaining accurate computer records.

Seafreight Export / Import Operator duties include:

• Handling export shipments on a start to finish basis
• Quotations
• Receiving manifests
• Producing shipping paperwork
• Collating documentation for customs clearance.
• Collection of payments and B/L's
• Arranging releases and deliveries
• Charging out files in a timely manner

We're keen to speak to enthusiastic freight professionals with 5+ years' experience, affording them strong knowledge of the correct process flow including country specific requirements, Inco terms, Customs documentation, etc.

The export aspect of this role will be working independently, so a thorough understanding is vital.

Working Monday to Friday with no weekends required, the Seafreight Export / Import Operator will be offered up to £35,000, in line with skills and experience.
