Job summary

Green & Wolvin Recruitment is seeking a Sea Freight Forwarder for a hybrid role in Solihull, West Midlands. You will report to the Sea & Ocean Freight Manager and manage end-to-end sea freight bookings for import/export across the Tamworth office area.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in sea/ocean freight forwarding, pricing and planning deliveries, and strong customer service. Experience with INCOTerms is advantageous; hybrid office presence is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in freight forwarding (sea/ocean).
• Experience with pricing, quotations and planning customer deliveries in ocean freight.
• Desirable experience with customs compliance.
• Excellent customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage sea/ocean freight import and export bookings including pricing, quotations and end-to-end shipping.
• Handle documentation for operations and transport (booking, Bills of Laden, pre-advice, loading confirmation).
• Nominate carriers, hauliers and shipping lines per rates, OTIF and INCOTerms."
• Raise additional customs documentation to enable cross-border movement (ISF, COO, clearance docs).
• Perform customer rate analysis on routes and ensure allocations and operations efficiency.
• Build relationships to deliver high levels of customer service aligned with client needs.

We are actively looking to engage ocean & sea freight professionals with a passion for freight forwarding and aviation shipping for a new role as a Sea Freight Forwarder working, on a hybrid based, from Solihull, Birmingham in the West Midlands.

With large scale investment they are actively looking to grow their freight forwarding offerings across the UK by adding additional opportunities within their Solihull, Birmingham office in the West Midlands.

Job Description

As an Sea Freight Forwarder, you will report in to the Sea & Ocean Freight Manager on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the following areas for responsibility across the Tamworth office in the West Midlands:

• Manage sea / ocean freight import and export bookings including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping and customs documentations.
• Documents of Operations and transportation (booking, Bills of Laden, pre-advices, loading confirmation).
• Nominating carriers, hauliers and shipping lines, in-line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements in line with a variety of INCOTerms.
• Raise additional customs documentation to ensure the freight can move from country to country (ISF,COO, clearance documentation etc)
• Customer rate analysis on route guidance, whilst monitoring and secure allocations and operation efficiency
• Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients with a knowledge of the clients business requirements

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have an expansive background in sea and ocean freight forwarding across both import and export. The ideal Sea Freight Forwarder will have the following skills and experience:

• 2+ year's experience in freight forwarding in either sea or ocean freight forwarding.
• Experience of pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across ocean & sea freight.
• Desirable experience of customs compliance.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Knowledge of INCOTerms is advantageous.
• Commutable to Solihull, Birmingham in the West Midlands on a hybrid basis.
