Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking an experienced Sea Freight Forwarder in Chelmsford to join our growing team. The role covers Sea Freight Import operations from start to finish, liaising with clients, suppliers and shipping lines to ensure smooth shipments.

Salary is up to £35,000 per annum DOE, with a contributory pension, training and clear progression paths. You will manage documentation, imports for FCL and LCL and maintain excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Sea Freight Import operations experience is essential.
• Experience with both FCL and LCL imports.
• Understanding of customs clearance is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Sea Freight Import operations start-to-finish.
• Raising Job files and all of the appropriate operations paperwork.
• Extensive supplier and client liaison and negotiation.
• Liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customs agents.
• Managing import documentation, customs clearances and delivery arrangements.
• Internal liaison with the sales team assisting with quotations and service information.

Are you an experienced Sea Freight Forwarder, looking for a new and exciting role with an up-and-coming freight forwarder in Chelmsford? Then this role could be excellent for you!

My client is looking for an experienced Sea Freight Forwarder to join their team based in Chelmsford. The right candidate will have strong experience dealing with Sea Freight Import operations, managing shipments from start to finish and liaising with clients, suppliers and shipping lines.

• Pricing and negotiation experience desirable.
• Excellent customer service experience.
