Job Opportunity: Sea Freight Clerk

Our client, a provider of warehouse, distribution, and logistics services, is currently seeking a Sea Freight Clerk to join their team in Essex.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Book freight with shipping lines.
2. Complete sailing documentation.
3. Provide quotations and set up new customers.
4. Arrange customs clearances.
5. Provide port health checks.
6. Liaise with other offices.
7. Pay shipping lines.
8. Handle invoicing for shipments.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Sea Freight Clerk, Import Clerk, or Export Clerk, with knowledge of ocean freight.
• Operational expertise in customs clearance procedures, food import, SPS, and port health.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
