Overview

Birdie is reimagining care for older adults by building technology that powers the future of home healthcare. We enable care teams with tools to deliver better, more dignified care, and help older people thrive in their own homes for longer. Our platform powers millions of care visits each month and we are a B Corp focused on using business as a force for good.

Birdie was founded in 2017 and is backed by investors such as Index Ventures, Sofina and Omers. We rank among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK and are committed to impact and growth.

Your mission

We are looking for a Sales Development Team Manager on a fixed term 12 month contract to support and develop Birdie\'s Sales Development team, reporting to the VP of Sales. You will be responsible for the Sales Development team, onboarding, coaching and developing the team to success, motivating and inspiring them to achieve their goals, and optimising our sales development processes. The SDR team covers SME, MME, and inbound reps. You will be hands-on with the sales development team, while driving strategic initiatives and collaborating with Product, Customer Success, and Marketing to support care teams across the UK.

How you will contribute
  • Champion high performance by delivering proactive feedback to achieve consistent target attainment.
  • Collaborate with the commercial leadership team to co-ordinate priorities and deliver enablement while forecasting team performance weekly, monthly and quarterly.
  • Coach to improve individual performance and growth, own the development of top talent, create clear progression paths, and maintain a strong internal talent bench.
  • Implement structured training programmes aligned to business and strategic goals.
  • Analyse data to identify gaps and design initiatives for success.
  • Design, test, and optimise outbound sequences and flows to ensure SDRs use relevant, creative and data-driven outreach.
  • Maintain energy in a high-call activity environment to keep reps motivated.
  • Leverage sales enablement tools (HubSpot, Gong, Looker, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.) to drive performance improvements and process efficiency.
  • Drive SDR engagement around events to maximise outbound activity and pipeline impact before, during and after marketing campaigns.
You'll thrive here if...
  • You are driven by purpose and impact.
  • You enjoy pace, ambiguity and building from the ground up in a dynamic startup environment.
  • You have experience codifying, testing, and optimising the prospecting cycle and applying proven sales methodologies.
  • You are confident using sales enablement and prospecting tools to improve team efficiency and pipeline quality.
  • You bring a coaching mindset and thrive in high-energy outbound environments, inspiring SDRs.
  • You enjoy designing outbound playbooks that incorporate events, campaigns and multi-channel outreach.
  • You lead with curiosity, feedback and hands-on ownership.
  • You value autonomy, honesty, and building great things with great people.
