Job summary

University of Plymouth seeks a SDLE Supervisor to deliver and assess dental education to undergraduates within the Simulated Dental Learning Environment. You will join a team of dental educators reporting to the SDLE Lead.

Role is permanent, part-time (3 hours/week on Friday mornings), with no option for remote work and DBS/DBS-type checks required. Contact James Puryer for informal discussion.

Qualifications

• Must hold the BDS degree and be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
• Ideally a teaching qualification and strong clinical skills.
• Experience in dental education is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess dental education to undergraduates in the Simulated Dental Learning Environment (SDLE).
• Update teaching materials and work within a team of dental educators.

Are you looking to pass on your clinical knowledge and skills to the next generation of dental professionals?

About the role

You will be:

• Working within a team of dental educators to deliver quality dental edcuation to dental undergraduates within the Simulated Dental Learning Environment (SDLE). Reporting to the (SDLE Lead).
• Teaching and assessing dental and dental therapy undergraduates, updaing teaching materials

Due to the nature of the role, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate working from home.

This is a permanent, part-time position working 3 hours per week on a Friday morning.

Due to the nature of this role, an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check plus a Children’s Barred List and Adults Barred List check will be required.

The successful candidate may be required to obtain an ATAS Certificate prior to this research being undertaken.
