As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will drive the technical direction of testing, working closely with your team members. You will automate your testing with a focus on advocating a quality-first approach, shaping and embedding best practices in testing.

You’ll make a real impact by actively participating in Agile practices and technical decision-making, continuously improving product quality and testing approaches. You’ll be part of the Quality community, helping to grow a world-class software testing capability.

  1. Build automation frameworks and tests that meet standards of quality including reliability, stability, usability, and performance.
  2. Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
  3. Challenge accepted standards and ask questions to improve efficiency and quality.
  4. Drive best practices within the team to foster a culture of quality.
  5. Ensure features are tested following best practices.
  6. Adopt an "automate first" approach to testing to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  7. Monitor automated tests and make test outcomes visible.
  8. Promote that quality is everyone's responsibility.
  9. Deliver high-quality products to customers.
  10. Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to understand user stories and functionalities, adopting a 3 Amigos approach.
  11. Use agile testing practices with continuous feedback.
  12. Participate in root cause analysis and support live incident resolution.
  13. Contribute to the Quality community and initiate improvement initiatives.
  14. Introduce new tools, technologies, and processes to promote quality.
  15. Educate the team on test frameworks and maintenance.
  16. Keep the end-user at the core of your work.
  17. Engage actively in team discussions to reach actionable decisions.
